Building Hope Capital Campaign

Building Hope Capital Campaign

Children’s Cove has outgrown our current facility. As the region’s only child advocacy center, Children’s Cove supports all the towns on Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard. Since we opened our doors in 1997, we’ve provided direct services to more than 7,000 children and families impacted by abuse and trauma.

The increased demand by the numbers.

The need to provide services to vulnerable youth has grown steadily over 10 years.

Our Hope

Our ability to serve our community is at risk. Despite soaring demand, our physical space has remained virtually unchanged for the past 25 years. Our outdated infrastructure can no longer accommodate our increased staffing for trauma, mental health, and prevention services. Without urgent action, we are forced to rely on our outdated facility, hindering our ability to fulfill our potential and serve the community effectively.

If we are to continue to give our visitors the services they deserve to start their healing journey, we need to radically redesign and expand our space. To keep pace with demand, Children’s Cove seeks to renovate and expand our existing site and building space into a 10,000-sq. ft. modern advocacy center that’s safe, welcoming, accessible, and confidential.

Our New Space Will Allow Us

To provide a comfortable and homelike setting, the renovated Children’s Cove will be a carefully designed space to maintain a residential scale and design aesthetic, both inside and out.

  • Two state-of-the-art forensic interview suites for child abuse investigations.
  • Advanced clinical medical suite used for medical and wellness exams and forensic evidence collection.
  • Four new mental health offices with dedicated clinical waiting rooms and meeting spaces.
  • SMART room used for innovative mental health therapy for children with complex trauma.
  • Large training room to accommodate 50 community and team members.
  • Additional team and conference meeting spaces.

What Can You Do

Our mission is to provide each child who has suffered abuse with justice, hope, and healing. Our vision is to create a community where children are free of abuse, have a voice that is heard, and where they enjoy healthy, safe, and empowered lives. It is only with your help that we will be able to provide for the growing need on Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard to help achieve our vision. With your support, we will be able to take care of the growing needs of the children who have suffered abuse.
